Eric Black leads an insular, reserved life following the tragic death of his wife four years earlier. But everything changes when his younger brother Luke is killed in a devastating traffic accident.
Distraught and rejected by his lonely, psychotic mother, Eric is unwittingly lead into taking the ‘perfect’ job as a shepherd, working alone on a remote island off the west coast.
Ferried to the island with his dog and a single suit-case of luggage, the crazed fisherman who manages the place from the mainland deliberately bombards a grief ridden Eric with dark stories surrounding the sinister history of his new home. Initially believing it to be the ideal escape, Eric soon begins to question his decision when a series of chilling, disturbing events take place. Alone and with all forms of communication to the mainland down, he begins to tumble into a spiral of panic and fear.
Vanishing sheep, his dog missing and a mysterious hooded figure hidden in the fog all seem to point to a dark secret in Eric’s past.
It soon becomes apparent he must confess to the devastating secret that haunts him now more than ever, or attempt a near fatal escape from what has become his own terrifying, supernatural prison.
